Here at the Mark Lay Foundation our purpose is simple. We strive to help families like ours create memories that will last a lifetime.

The Mark Lay Foundation aims to gift families who are living with cancer a financial grant towards a holiday or short break.

Sadly, there are so many families in the UK that are in the same situation as we were, where they have been dealt the most dreadful and unfair of hands.

Thankfully we learnt early on into our journey that making memories and being together as a family was truly something to be treasured. One of the most special times for us since Mark’s diagnosis was in February 2017, when we travelled to Cornwall to spend our last family holiday together.

With this in mind when Mark passed away in August 2017, sister and brother Josephine & Thomas decided to set up a charity in their Dad’s name with the purpose to support to help families just like theirs.

Our grant scheme will be open to application on Tuesday 5th June 2018. In the meantime we need to raise as much funds as possible so that we are ready to support anyone that would like to use the Mark Lay Foundation.

We also aim to support a selection of beneficiaries yearly, you can read more about the beneficiaries here.
