Dance The Distance®️ - Crawley 4th August 2018

Dance The Distance®️ - Crawley 4th August 2018

Dance the Distance® is a great-big-group-exercise event that takes participants on an incredible journey, experiencing different dance styles and enjoying a wide variety of music. The event is approximately equivalent to running or walking 5km in steps and calories but is guaranteed to be more fun!! Plus, it’s a very social and alternative way of fundraising for some great causes. You don’t have to be a great dancer either – anyone can Dance the Distance®!

Emma Forward, chief operating officer at EMD UK said ‘This is a particularly special partnership for me as I had the pleasure of knowing the lovely Mark Lay and am in complete awe of the commitment shown by his beautiful family in setting up the Foundation. This is exactly the reason we developed Dance the Distance®; to get people together through a fun and alternative way of completing a 5km challenge and raising significant funds for very deserving causes like the Mark Lay Foundation.’

Thomas Lay, co-founder of the Foundation and proud son of Mark Lay said ‘We are very excited to be working with EMD UK, Emma and her team. As a family it was so important for us to create lasting memories with our Dad, Mark, and we know how important it is to families who are in similar circumstances. Without the support of companies like EMD UK and fundraisers we wouldn’t be able to make a difference to the lives of people affected by cancer. Thank you to everyone that signs up and we can’t wait to see everyone dancing in August.’

Join us on 4th August at St. Wilfrid’s School in Crawley to shake, shimmy and laugh your way through 5km worth of steps and calories and raise loads of money for a wonderful cause.
